The Muses Creative Artistry Project will celebrate the beauty of spring and St. Patrick's Day with four performances of its "Celtic Spring" concert.

The first, a student performance, will take place at 6 p.m. March 8, followed by a performance at 6 p.m. March 11, both at The Muses Cultural Arts Center, 428 Orange St.

At 3 p.m. March 12, The Muses will perform at Anthony Chapel in Garvan Woodland Gardens. The final performance will be at 7 p.m. March 13 at Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village.

The Muses Project is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and "Celtic Spring" will be the first of its 2017 "Art and Song" seasonal subscription concert series. The concert features professional vocal, instrumental and lyrical dance performances of traditional and contemporary Irish and English ballads in solos, duets and ensembles, complete with Celtic flutes, harp, piano and drums, all in the style of the Celtic women.

The concert includes Shakespearean sonnets and Robert Burns poems, with traditional Celtic favorites such as "Down by the Sally Gardens," "Shenandoah," "The Wearing of the Green," and "The Parting Glass."

Tickets are $35. Artists, teachers and students will be admitted for free to the March 8 concert, but must call 609-9811 to register. Call the same number for ticket information on any of the concerts, or for information on the "Art and Song" concert subscription series.
