Moore named Miss HSU

ARKADELPHIA -- Olivia Moore, a sophomore biology major from Gurdon, was crowned 2017 Miss Henderson State University on Feb. 16.

Moore also won the overall talent competition, the Academic Achievement award, Peop le's Choice award, and was the Violet Fields Instagram winner. She will now prepare to compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant this summer.

Ashley Marx, of Texarkana, was first runner-up. Arielle Michael, of Bismarck, was second runner-up and won the Overall Lifestyle and Fitness award. Jeana Lovett, of Waldron, was third runner-up and received the Spirit of Miss HSU award. Adrienne Prince, of Glen Rose, was fourth runner-up.

Skyla Weeks, of Highland, was named Miss Congeniality.

More than $10,000 in scholarships and awards were presented.
