Submitted photo "WORDS AND CURDS": Randi Romo, the Little Rock Poet who hosts the monthly poetry reading "Words and Curds," will be featured at 7 p.m. at Wednesday Night Poetry.

Little Rock poet Randi Romo will be this week's feature for Wednesday Night Poetry at Kollective Coffee+Tea, 110 Central Ave.

The regular open mic session for all poets begins at 6:30 p.m. Romo will perform at 7 p.m., followed by another open mic session. Admission is free and open to all ages.

Romo is the host of Little Rock's monthly poetry reading "Words and Curds" at Kent Walker's Artisan Cheese in the Capitol District.

A Mexican-American, Romo was a farmworker in her younger years. Now she makes cheese.

She is an activist and organizer in the Arkansas lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

She has "walked among and between many communities in the multiplicity of realities ... only by hearing one another and sharing with one another that we have any hope to traverse the vast chasms of difference," Romo said in a news release.

She said she hopes her words help with understanding those differences.
