Impact of Cash festival to be far-reaching

JONESBORO -- Roseanne Cash expects the impact of bringing music back to the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home to be multifaceted.

Cash and Kris Kristofferson will co-headline the field concert to be part of the Johnny Cash Heritage Festival Oct. 19-21. She said the festival's effect with include musical, spiritual and ancestral elements, along with the economic benefits.

The festival will include a symposium in the Dyess Colony Circle, regional music in the Colony Circle, an oral history project, food vendors, arts and crafts booths, and demonstration.

Reserved concert seating at the $100 level is sold out, but $50 reserved chair seating and $25 general admission tickets remain on sale. General admission ticket holders are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

All Saturday afternoon performances are included in the price of the inaugural concert ticket. Ticket holders will have access to food vendors, arts and crafts booths, and artists' merchandise
