Fall in for fall crafts workshop

Get ready for the fall season with a scarecrow straw hat door wreath and skeleton shirt sponsored by the Loyal Ladies Extension Homemakers Club.

The public is welcome to participate in making a "spooktacular" door decoration and spooky shirts for themself or their family members. Participants may choose to make the door decoration, the shirt or both.

The cost of supplies for the scarecrow wreath is $10, which includes everything needed to make it. Participants making a skeleton shirt should bring two T-shirts, sharp fabric scissors and straight pins.

The workshop leader for the wreath is Laverne Black and the for the skeleton shirt, Rita Blackwood. The workshop will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 5 the Extension Building at the Garland County Fairgrounds. The deadline to sign up is July 31 at the Garland County Extension office at 236 Woodbine St.
