Clampit's Country Kitchen opens today

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Clampit's Country Kitchen and Meat Market is set to open today at 5398 Highway 7 north, Hot Springs Village, the former Charlie's Pizza location.

Joey and Lynn Clampit, of Hot Springs Village, are "the proud new owners" and Joey Clampit has been in the food service industry since the mid 1980s when he began working at the Sawmill Depot in Hot Springs.

Joey Clampit has worked at most every position in the meat industry, including market manager, meat merchandiser and full-time meat cutter, and most recently, food sales and has become very knowledgeable in this industry.

Eric Reaves, former market manager and meat merchandiser at Harvest Foods, will join Joey Clampit.

The Clampits have partnered with Stockyard Beef, Petit Jean and other well-known brands to bring "some of the very best meat in the country at affordable prices," state the press release. "They will offer meat cut fresh to order daily, as well as fully cooked entrees to go and a delicious variety of sweet treats (including sugar free options) and a variety of freshly smoked BBQ items daily."

The store will feature Arkansas products not found anywhere else in the state, including desserts, jams, jellies, hand-poured candles, hand-made soaps and a vast selection of marinades and rubs.

Clampit's Country Kitchen will be an exclusive distributor of PK Grills and grilling accessories for the Hot Springs Village, Jessieville and Fountain Lake area. The Clampits eventually plan to offer a meal delivery program in the Hot Springs Village area.
