St. Mark Baptist observes Men's Day

St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent, will observe its Annual Men's Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The theme is "Men Preparing an Ark to the Saving of Their House." Guests will be the Rev. Charles Hood and members of New Generation Baptist Church, of Arkadelphia.

Everyone is welcome.

Union MBC to honor pastor and wife June 17

Union Missionary Baptist Church, 217 Gulpha St., will host an Appreciation Banquet and Gospel Comedy Explosion for Pastor Douglas E. and Sister Gladys Jones, recognizing their 25 years of leadership to the church, at 6 p.m. June 17. The theme will be "A Night at the Oscars." A red carpet entrance will begin at 5:30 p.m. Formal attire is encouraged.

Performers include Terrence Jones and Manita "Ms. Mook" Johnson, both of Memphis, Tenn.

Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for young adults 13-18 and $12.50 for children 5-12. For tickets or information, call Chester Carrigan at 520-1337.

VBS June 25-29 at Red Oak MBC

Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 25-29 for children 3-16 years old. The theme will be "Dr. Vanguard's Voyages: The Redeemer."

Greater St. Paul has Vacation Bible School

Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, 497 Crescent Ave., will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The theme will be "The Faith Run (On Course with God!)." All ages are welcome to join in for fellowship, Bible study, activities and more.

LDS church has Stake Conference in LR

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2765 Malvern Ave., will meet at Little Rock Stake Center today and Sunday for Stake Conference. Priesthood leadership will meet at 3:30 p.m. today followed with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the adult session at 6:30 p.m. New and returning members will meet at 8:30 a.m. Sunday with the general session at 10 a.m. There will be no meetings in the Hot Springs chapel.

Holy Ghost Headquarters celebrates 20 years

Holy Ghost Headquarters Christian Ministries, 1900 Hobson Ave., will celebrate 20 years with the theme "Growing Stronger, Growing Deeper, Reaching Higher." A musical extravaganza will be held at 6 p.m. today. Sunday, Pastor Lucinda Fletcher, with Jesus Last Day Ministries, in Tallulah, La., will speak at 11 a.m. and Pastor Dorothy Jones, with Faith Deliverance, in Tallulah, at 3 p.m.
