VFW Post 2278 changes meeting times
VFW Post 2278 and its auxiliary are changing their meeting times and dates. In an effort to get more working people and people unable to drive at night, it is changing the meetings to 10 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
The first meeting at this new time will be Saturday. A buffet-style breakfast will be served before the meeting for $7.
Anyone who wants to come out and visit the post is welcome. Individuals do not have to be a member to help serve veterans and their families, but they may be eligible to join.
Libertarian Party of GC holds annual meeting
The Libertarian Party of Garland County will hold its annual meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday in Room A at the Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave. Business will include the annual election of officers, consideration of bylaws changes and events planning. Nonmembers are welcome.
