Utilizing their resources, time and talent to better their community is the role of the Garland County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, and has earned them the highest rating of Farm Bureau, the Gold Star Award. Recently the committee gave patients at the Genesis Cancer Center with "quillows." Made of fleece and cotton, the product can keep chemotherapy patients warm or provide a pillow for them during treatment. The committee utilized cotton for the pillow portion to promote cotton as a major commodity in Arkansas. The quillows and other products were delivered to the cancer center by Women's Committee members Sarah Goodeaux, above, and Angee Adcock, not pictured.
