Kingsley tapped for all-star game

FAYETTEVILLE -- The Arkansas Razorbacks didn't make it to Phoenix for the NCAA Final Four weekend but one of their players will.

Senior all-Southeastern Conference center Moses Kingsley is one of 20 players nationally selected to play in the Reese's College All-Star Friday night at University of Phoenix Stadium, site of Saturday's Final Four games between South Carolina vs. Gonzaga and North Carolina vs. Oregon and Monday night's championship game.

The Reese's All-Star game tips off at 5:30 p.m. Friday and is televised by the CBS Sports Network (Resort Channel 32).

A four-year Razorback letterman from Abuja, Nigeria, all-SEC both his junior and senior seasons, Kingsley was named to the all-SEC Defensive team off blocking 93 shots while averaging 12.0 points, including 23 in Arkansas' first-round NCAA tournament victory over Seton Hall, and 7.7 rebounds.

"Moses, I thought he had a very good year for us," Arkansas coach Mike Anderson said during his Monday wrapup of the Razorbacks' 26-10 season.

UA baseball canceled

FAYETTEVILLE -- Acknowledging today's local forecast for severe thunderstorms throughout the day and evening, the Arkansas Razorbacks and Grambling State have canceled their 6:30 p.m. baseball game at Baum Stadium.

As of now, there are no plans to reschedule the nonconference game.

The Razorbacks, 20-5 overall and 5-1 in the SEC, next play a three-game series with Alabama Friday through Sunday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Next week the Razorbacks commence a five-game homestand at Baum Stadium with nonconference games Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon against Grand Canyon University and a Friday through Sunday three-game series against LSU.
