Insect test

The Sentinel-Record/Mara Kuhn

Chandler Barton, Arkansas Forestry Commission forest health specialist, places traps for emerald ash borers in a tree along the Greenway Trail Wednesday with help from Brian Fisher, landscape superintendent with the Hot Springs Parks and Trails Department, and Regine Skelton, AFC registered forester. Skelton said they are testing to see if the insect has invaded Garland County. Both Clark and Hot Spring counties have tested positive. Garland County is currently being quarantined, which means firewood or unprocessed wood cannot be taken out of the county.
