Dear editor:
It is hard to comprehend the arrogance of the liberals and/or Democrats that write letters to the editor in The Sentinel-Record. One calls the president all sorts of names, another says the Arkansas congressional delegation "hang around with their tails swinging like lemmings up a tree ... " and a third says he heard the "ill-informed president give a boring and ignorant two-hour speech on how he is going to abolish pain pills" (i.e. his article implied "all" pain pills). Of course, that person's statement is false. A few months ago a liberal and/or Democrat urged the "silent majority" to get involved to get Trump out of office. Unfortunately, she does not realize the "silent majority" is involved and we voted for Trump.
Reading their hateful rhetoric week after week makes me realize why a city like Chicago, and some of the other large cities, are filled with angry people committing violent and/or profane acts on a daily basis. Chicago has been under liberal/Democratic control for decades (last Republican mayor elected in 1927 and only one Republican (Brian Doherty) has held a city council position in recent decades) and the "fruits" of their hateful ideology is on open display for all of us to read and/or see. In 2017 YTD for Chicago (as of Oct. 29, 2017): 1. Shot and killed 544 (77.9 percent African-American) 2. Total shot 3,140. 3. Total homicides 586. 4. Someone shot every 2 hours and 19 minutes. 5. Someone murdered every 12 hours and 22 minutes. Anonymous quote: "If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got!" Bottom-line: The liberals and/or Democrats are satisfied with the results they are achieving in Chicago.
Unfortunately, the period from 2008 through 2016 accelerated the transformation of the "Democrat Party" into a "Self-Righteous Party." They believe women can "choose to kill their babies," men can choose to be women, women can choose to be men, doctors should be allowed to assist in one's suicide, and they are happy to have President Obama invite leaders of the Black Lives Matter group to the White House (i.e. the group whose famous chant is: "What do we want? Dead cops! When do want them? Now!").
If you believe in God and try to follow His Commandments, then in their eyes your life is expendable.
