Hot Springs police identified two suspects Tuesday being sought on felony warrants in connection with shots fired Halloween evening at the intersection of Grand and Central avenues.

Michael Correa, 30, and Juneau Willis, 31, both prior convicted felons, are each being sought on two counts of committing a terroristic act and one count of possession of a firearm by certain persons, police said in a news release, describing the two suspects as "dangerous felons."

Correa is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with no known address.

The last known address for Willis was in the 100 block of Lafayette Street. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either suspect should call detectives at 321-6789, ext. 7710.

On Oct. 31, around 6:30 p.m., a local woman, 24, told police she was stopped in the outside lane of West Grand Avenue, headed west, when she heard what sounded like a gunshot hit her car, Hot Springs police Cpl. Kirk Zaner told The Sentinel-Record last week.

She looked to her left to the parking lot of the Valero, 1201 Central, where she reportedly saw a black male firing a gun a second time toward the gas station. She said there was a second person she couldn't describe standing on the south side of the Valero "which appeared to be the direction the black male was shooting," he said.

As she drove away, she saw the suspect with the gun run to a gold vehicle and heard a third gunshot as he drove away headed east on Grand. She later arrived home and discovered a bullet hole in the driver's side door of her vehicle.

Zaner said police responded moments later to a wreck in the parking lot of Hardee's, 249 W. Grand. Witnesses said they heard gunshots from the area of Grand and Central and then saw a gold Jaguar headed eastbound that ran over the curb at the restaurant and collided with a parked gold Chevrolet Tahoe, becoming wedged underneath.

A witness inside the restaurant saw the wreck and said the driver of the Jaguar jumped out and fled on foot across the street to the Burger King, 228 W. Grand, where he ran inside.

When officers arrived at Hardee's, they found a .380-caliber handgun on the front seat of the Jaguar, but were unable to locate the driver who had fled.

Correa was previously arrested Oct. 25 after he was allegedly found in possession of a handgun following a reported shooting at Indiandale Apartments, 105 Lowery St., around 10:15 p.m. Witnesses saw two men running from the area after the shots were fired and Correa was found hiding under a bush on Vista Street in the area.

Approximately 3 feet from Correa, the officer allegedly found a loaded 9-mm handgun covered in leaves behind the wheel of a car. The 9-mm rounds in the gun were noted to be similar to 9-mm casings found outside the Indiandale apartments, where at least two vehicles had been struck by gunfire.

Correa, who listed a San Francisco address at the time of his arrest, was charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons and later released on $10,000 bond. He was reportedly convicted of a felony July 9, 2007, in California.
