Three local athletes were selected to represent Garland County in the Arkansas-Oklahoma All-Star Cross Country meet today in Rogers. Colby Swecker, left, and Josie Carson, center, were selected from Lake Hamilton, and Noah Eskew was selected from Jessieville. The teams are comprised of the top 25 athletes from each state, and the top nine will be scored with the first 25 finishers receiving medals. Swecker led the Wolves to their fifth straight state championship last Friday on the infield of Oaklawn Park, and Eskew, who will not be able to attend today's meet, is the first male athlete in Arkansas to win four straight state cross country titles.
