Eureka MBC holds appreciation service

Historic Eureka Missionary Baptist Church, 721 Gaines Ave., will celebrate Pastor Steve R. and first lady J'auan Gaylyn Lake and sons' 31st Appreciation Service at 4 p.m. Sunday. Guests will be the Rev. O.D. Phillips and member of the Greater Fellowship Christian Church of Conway.

The theme is "Continuing to Call on the God of My Calling." Other special guests will be Brother Greg Bearss, pastor of LakePointe Church. The public is welcome to help the members celebrate their first family.

In the Hand of the Potter Ministries, 847 Third St., will hold a Woman Empowerment service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Special guest speaker will be Timikia Jackson.

Visitor's Chapel AME celebrates 147 years

Visitor's Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 319 Church St., will celebrate its 147th church anniversary Sunday.

The 11 a.m. messenger will be the Rev. Clarence V. Boyd Sr., retired presiding elder of the Hot Springs District. At 3 p.m., guests will be members of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, of North Little Rock, with their pastor, the Rev. Tyrone Broomfield, delivering the message.

The theme is "147 Years, a Church Standing in the Joy of the Lord "

Free Thanksgiving meal Nov. 18 at Living Waters

Malvern District Missions Department will host a free Thanksgiving meal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18 at Living Waters Church of God in Christ, 306 Grove St. Free clothes will be available.

Greater St. Paul holds choir day program

The members of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, 497 Crescent Ave., will celebrate the Voices of Praise Choir's Annual Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Billy R. Wilson, pastor of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church. Music will be rendered by the choirs of both churches. The public is welcome.

St. Mark Baptist observes Usher Day Sunday

St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave., will observe its Annual Usher Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. The ushers will be in charge.
