Vegetarian Supper Club topic on depression
Vegetarian Supper Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hot Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church, 401 Weston Road. The topic to be presented by Dr. Rheeta Stecker will be "Dealing with Depression." Seasonal Affective Disorder often hits during the fall and winter months when days are shorter and there is less sunlight. This, unfortunately, can interfere with holiday and family time. The presentation will deal with this and other causes of depression as well.
The Vegetarian Supper Club meets on the second Monday of each month, September through May. Meetings provide informative health presentations, vegetarian cuisine and fellowship. Attendees should bring a vegetarian dish with the recipe and a self-addressed envelope to receive the recipe collection for the evening. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Elks Lodge has tailgate party, Sunday brunch
Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380, 132 Abbott Place, will have a Razorback vs. LSU football potluck tailgate party at 11 a.m. today. Members and guests are welcome.
The lodge will have a brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for members and their guests. Cost is $11 for age 10 and up; $5, ages 4-9; and 3 and under are free.
