Hot Springs of Arkansas Chapter Regent Linda Jester delivered 31 pillows to the Breast Cancer Center in Hot Springs. The pillows are handmade for the patients following their breast cancer surgery. Sharing in the sewing of the "pillows of love" were Treasurer Nena Butler and her granddaughters, Kayley and Ave Smith. The granddaughters wanted to help in honoring their mother, Jennifer Butler Smith, who is a six-year cancer survivor. This is an annual project by them as their contribution to women's issues programs for the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The chapter meets at 10 a.m. the second Saturday each month at Melting Pot Genealogical Society Library. Women 18 years and up are welcome. The chapter will hold its Christmas meeting on Dec. 9. This year the chapter will collect toys for children in Malvern.
