Minorities hosts banquet

Men Mentoring Young Minorities Inc. will host a black-tie banquet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Christian Fellowship Church, 1536 E. Grand Ave.

The guest speaker will be Shakenia Thomas-Tate. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling the Rev. Bobby Hampton, 501-538-7695, or Fred Nicholson, 501-262-5501 or 501-538-9144.

Thomas-Tate, a native of Hot Springs who resides in Conway, is a graduate of Hot Springs High School with highest honors. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. She has a Master of Science in Nursing and is working toward becoming a family nurse practitioner.
