Daylily Society: late blooming daylilies
Hot Springs Daylily Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Christian Life Center, 218 Pratt St. Yvonne Becker will present on late blooming daylilies.
Becker was president of Garland County Master Gardeners, State of Arkansas Master Gardener of the Year in 2004, member of County 76, and former board member and president of the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show. GC Audubon: upcoming Christmas Bird Count
Garland County Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3819 Central Ave. The public is welcome.
Shelley Todd, natural resource program manager for Hot Springs National Park, will discuss the upcoming Christmas Bird Count. Anyone who would like to help, be sure to attend. If not able to attend but would like to assist with the CBC, contact one of the officers listed on the http://www.gcas.com website. A game of "What Bird Am I?" will be played to assist in refining bird identification skills for the yard and Citizen Science.
