A Hot Springs woman faces two felony charges of sexual assault stemming from allegations she had sex with a male juvenile last month.

Christina Michelle Smith, 24, who lists a Lakeland Drive address, was arrested shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree, each punishable by up to six years in prison.

She was later released on $5,000 bond, and is set to appear in Garland County District Court on Oct. 23.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Garland County Sheriff's Department received a report on Sept. 26 in reference to an alleged sexual relationship between a 14-year-old boy and a 24-year-old woman.

The mother of the juvenile reportedly stated she found out her son was having sex with Smith, who was a friend of the family. When confronted, the juvenile allegedly admitted to having sex with Smith when he would stay at her apartment.

On Sept. 29, Smith reportedly admitted she did have sex with the juvenile at her apartment during a post-Miranda interview with investigators from the sheriff's office.
