Lucinda Shook, of Hot Springs Pet Therapy, recently visited Kate Messersmith's Lake Hamilton classroom with Chocolate, a therapy dog. Students in Messersmith's class are using a "mutt-igrees curriculum" this year for social-emotional learning with an emphasis on developing empathy and resiliency through interaction with dogs.
