HS Sports Medicine available at Highway 7 South location

Hot Springs Sports Medicine, 7 South Clinic, 4832 Central Ave., Suite A2, Hot Springs, AR 71913, across the street from the Clarion, is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

It has outpatient physical therapy services for recovery from and management of orthopedic injuries, neurologic injuries and disorders, post-operative weakness, generalized weakness after illness, balance disorders, hand therapy, neck and back injuries or surgeries, upper and lower limb joint replacements, amputations, and chronic conditions such as neuropathy, pain conditions.

It employs the use of exercises, stretching, strengthening, self-care and self-management education, along with modalities such as heat, ice, electrical stimulation and massage, to individualized treatment programs to maximize optimal recovery for each individual.

Anne McSweeney, PT, C/NDT, is the clinic lead therapist at this location.

This is the third of three clinics for Hot Springs Sports Medicine. The primary site is located on Albert Pike by Smokin in Style with Steve Burns, PT, as the regional lead therapist. Hot Springs Sports Medicine also has a clinic in Glenwood with Adam Gunn, DPT, as the lead. All three clinics are owned by Compleat Rehab out of North Carolina.

McSweeney has certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment for Adults, which is additional advance training and expertise in recovery from and/or management of neurological conditions such as strokes, brain trauma and Parkinson's disease.
