Killing the innocent

Dear editor:

I have never written a letter to the editor for publishing in The Sentinel-Record, however, I have finally had enough of the liberal's diatribes. Linda Woodbury, as in past letters, always takes the rhetoric to another level. Talking about Trump, she says: "His budget and policies are pro-death and will cause innocent people to die."

The only thing she forgot to add is that, in the United States, killing innocent people has been acceptable for over 40 years. Woodbury, the Democrats and women get to choose who dies. On average, approximately 3,700 babies in the womb are killed every day in the United States. For African-Americans, there are approximately 444 abortions for every 1,000 live births.

Can you imagine what people will be saying 100 years after abortion is no longer legal? At that time, the discussions will no longer be about slavery or discrimination, but about abortion.

Our offspring will probably ask these kinds of questions: Why did our ancestors expect to have a peaceful society, when they taught their children it was acceptable for a woman to kill (her baby in her womb)? How could they allow 3,000 to 4,000 babies a day to be killed? How could our ancestors allow a doctor to kill a baby in the womb of a mother by dismembering the baby? Why did our ancestors allow babies to be killed by sticking a needle in their brain as the baby was being born (partial birth abortion)? Why was it acceptable to sell baby parts harvested from aborted babies? How could some nurses and doctors let a baby born alive in a hospital (after a failed abortion) be left on the table to die?

Just for information, former President Barack Obama voted "present" on the "Born-Alive Bill" in Illinois. He actually was against the bill. Can you imagine what it would be like to be "in the room" as you watch doctors and nurses let a newborn baby (from a failed abortion) die on the hospital table? Would you try to save the baby?

In a similar vein, what about the "Black Lives Matter" protesters in Minnesota chanting: "What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want them? Now!"

Please keep in mind, Woodbury and the Democrats get to choose whose life is expendable, and their target is no longer just those in the womb!
