A Hot Springs woman was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend twice in the arm.

Nichole Leigh Klich, 30, who lists a Burchwood Bay Drive address, was taken into custody shortly after 11:30 a.m. and charged with second-degree domestic battery, a felony punishable by up to six years in prison.

Klich was being held on zero bond and is set to appear Oct. 2 in Garland County District Court.

According to the affidavit, at around 11 a.m. Thursday Garland County sheriff's Deputy Scott Hinojosa received a call about a stabbing that had occurred in the 100 block of Waldrop Lane. While he was en route to the location, the female caller, later identified as Klich, notified dispatchers she and the male victim, 35, had left Waldrop Lane and were at the trailer park at 215 Highway 290.

Hinojosa arrived at the trailer park and was flagged down by the victim. He saw a woman, later identified as Klich, standing nearby holding a knife in her right hand. As the deputy approached, he ordered Klich to drop the knife and she threw it down and was taken into custody.

He spoke with the victim who said Klich had stabbed him in the right arm. Hinojosa noted blood and a laceration to the arm. The victim also stated he and Klich had been a couple for about two years. He was transported by LifeNet to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs for treatment.

Klich was later interviewed by Sheriff's investigator Kenny Ford and told him she and the victim had been in a "romantic relationship off and on" for two years. She also allegedly admitted to stabbing him twice in the arm.

Klich, who has numerous prior arrests for disorderly conduct, was arrested March 6, 2017, for third-degree domestic battery involving a female victim. She pleaded guilty on March 8 and was sentenced to one year in jail with six months suspended, with the condition she could be released early if she completed a substance abuse program in the jail.
