Junior Stormers repeat at Ruggerfest

ST. LOUIS -- The Little Rock Junior Stormers youth rugby club won the 2018 high school division competition April 7-8 at Ruggerfest, the oldest rugby tournament in the nation.

The Junior Stormers are the only high school rugby club in the state. The team competes as part of the Little Rock Rugby Club.

The team is comprised of players from Cabot, Central Arkansas Christian, Hot Springs, Jessieville, Lakeside, Little Rock Catholic, Sherwood, Sylvan Hills and the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts.

The Junior Stormers closed the regular season Saturday at the Little Rock Rugby Club.

Team members include Santi Carstensen, Rory Cavanagh, Barry Findley, William Fletcher, Jordan Foster, Ryan Fulbright, Logan Grant, Sam Griffey, Kenji Griffin, Nick Hill, Ayham Issac, William Justice, Tyler Mahler, Juan Diego Martinez, Leotis McClure, Zac Milam, Merritt Moss, Oliver Nasilai, Taime Nasilai, Cody Olds, Ricky Owens, Lucas Parham, Ryan Phillips, Revin Storey, Zack Tisdale and Nate Watson.
