Car, motorcycles collide (updated)

9:30 a.m. update:

Hot Springs police have identified the victim of Tuesday's collision between two motorcycles and a car as Keido LaVell Howard, 33, of Hot Springs. Howard was the driver of a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle.

9 a.m. update:

Hot Springs police on Wednesday morning confirmed that one person was killed Tuesday evening in a collision between a car and two motorcycles on Malvern Avenue at the Hollywood Avenue intersection. A second person was injured, but his condition was unavailable Wednesday morning. Hot Springs police said more information will be made available later Wednesday. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

A LifeNet worker sprints across the scene where two people were severely injured Tuesday evening after two motorcycles struck a car at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle and one motorcycle to catch fire at the intersection of Malvern and Hollywood Avenue. Hot Springs police Cpl. Kirk Zaner said one motorcycle struck the car head-on and the second struck its side. One of the motorcycle drivers was reportedly launched into the parking lot of National Park Hospital and the second was found lying in the road. One witness described the impact as sounding "like a bomb" going off. Hospital personnel were assisting one victim when LifeNet arrived on the scene.
