Scenic 7 gets Habitat update

Submitted photo

Cindy Wagstaff, left, executive director of the Garland County Habitat for Humanity, recently spoke to the Rotary Club of North Garland County/Scenic 7. She brought with her Ben Baker, Restore director, who manages all three resale outlets in the county. Habitat is able to provide low-cost housing with the help of a large number of volunteers and with reduced cost or donated materials. Window Mart, for example, has donated every window installed in every house built by Habitat in Garland County. With them is Liz Mathis, Scenic 7 program chair for the month. Scenic 7 Rotary Club meets at Charlie's Pizza Pub at noon Thursdays. Visitors are welcome. For information, call Barb Mitchell, 922-9004, or Amanda Kennedy, 922-0227.
