School shootings, pt. 3

Dear editor:

This is part 3 of a document considering the singular cause of mass school shootings of school children and their teachers in the United States, and the solution that I am claiming can greatly reduce such shootings.

Any successful one-room school depended on students selflessly working with other students. Fights still broke out and teasing still occurred; but if a student's family became incapacitated, parents and children helped. The school acted as a model.

Women held the cultures together and taught the next generation (which is true in all cultures of the world; women teach the youngest children how to function in a culture for good or for bad). Mothers always have the first opportunity to teach the youngest children, teaching them while breast-feeding them.

Historically, schoolteachers of the youngest were usually women, and they instilled citizenship into the children, including proper chastisement, responsibilities, patriotism that was up close and personal, how to think (which cannot easily be done when distractions to thinking are so common and so tantalizing), how to help others, etc. Whatever the cause of the "culture" of mass school shootings of children is, it will involve women and the great power they have over every culture in the world. Whatever the solution is will, therefore, involve women.

Changing the ethic of a school dramatically changes all of society. The production of mass shooters starts at school. The production of a peaceful society starts at school. Teaching future parents starts at school. (So many parents have no idea how to deal with their own children in very important areas.)

Parents who fight against proper chastisement at school fight for mass shooters of school children and fight against their own peace at home and in their local cultures. (Fighting for their son's or daughter's "rights" when a chastisement issue arises, rather than standing with what is best for the country and society, what is true patriotism, is an act of a traitor. The local classroom is society. If a true abuse in chastisement occurs, that is also an act that is violent against patriotism; strictness, however isn't automatically abuse. It can be and often is love.)

The cause: wrong teaching (directly and by example) that youths are to be self-centered, rights-centered, individualistic, inconsiderate, self-important, unchastened, demanding, not-responsible, nonpatriotic, contemptuous-of-authority gods and goddesses.

The solution: right teaching (directly and by example) that youths are to be benefit-centered, responsibilities-centered, working very well in groups for benefit, considerate of others and circumspect (to see how their own actions and words affect others for good or bad), humble (knowing their true ranks and responsibilities, and consistently living according to them), chastened, gracious, beneficially responsible to and for others, patriotic (love of country and gracious to all its citizens of all its cultures), demonstrating high respect for authority, determined to beneficially contribute.

A cohesive, beneficial, caring group can spot a bitter youth and can work to dispel (or stop) that future shooter.
