HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Game-loving people are welcome to attend the HSV Republican Women's Spring Card Party-Game Day from 12:30-3:30 p.m. April 30 at the Coronado Community Center in Hot Springs Village. Both men and women are welcome. Doors open at 12:15 p.m. A light lunch of sandwiches, desserts, snacks and ice tea will be served. Any kind of game can be played; just bring your own cards or games. Tickets are $10 each and sold by a full table. Ticket sale deadline is Wednesday.
There will be a 50/50 drawing, and the two silent auction items are a 4-foot tall metal and crystal elephant sculpture and a limited edition 1976 commemorative elephant decanter. Need some different gift ideas, shop the patriotic and elephant theme purses, scarves and jewelry for purchase. The elephant is a symbol of loyalty to family, wisdom, strength, honor and peace. An elephant in the home is said to bring good luck.
