Two candidates address DPGC Wednesday
Two local Democratic candidates will be the featured speakers at the 5:30 p.m. Wednesday meeting of the Democratic Party of Garland County at 608 W. Grand Ave. The doors will open at 5 p.m.
The candidates include Kallen Peret, for Arkansas State Representative District 24, and Cortney W. McKee, for Garland County Justice of the Peace, District 9.
Harold "Butch" Davis, the Democratic representative on the Garland County Election Commission, will answer questions about the September special election, the November general election and voting registration, and the current voter ID law.

Emblem luau tickets available
Hot Springs Emblem Club 194 will host a luau on Sunday at the Elks Lodge, 132 Abbott Place. Dinner will be served from 6-7 p.m. Vintage Spirits Band and Randy McDonald will play from 7-10 p.m.
