ASP identifies fatality victim

Arkansas State Police have identified the victim of Sunday's fatal crash on Brady Mountain Road as Adam Lee Davis, 41, of Hot Springs.

Davis was a passenger in a 2011 Nissan Versa that was southbound in the 600 block of Brady Mountain Road at around 5:25 p.m. Sunday when it crossed the double yellow line while negotiating a right-hand curve and struck a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was northbound, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary and officials at the scene on Sunday.

Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene by Garland County Deputy Ryan Hamilton.

The driver of the Nissan, Zachary Kyle Mawk, 26, of Mount Ida, and the driver of the truck, Daniel E. Lawniczak, 61, of Royal, were also injured.

Mawk, who was transported by a LifeNet helicopter from a landing zone close to the scene of the collision, was taken to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, while Lawniczak was transported to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs by a LifeNet ambulance, according to the crash summary and information gathered at the scene.
