A Hot Springs man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly breaking into a deceased person's vehicle and stealing items.

Robert Shelton Frank, 41, of 106 Little Bit Trail, was taken into custody at his home at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday and charged with a felony count of breaking or entering, punishable by up to six years in prison.

Frank was being held on a $2,500 bond and was set to appear Friday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Garland County sheriff's Deputy J.T. Dodge responded to a suspicious activity call at 100 Little Bit Trail, regarding a white male who lived at 106 Little Bit Trail who had allegedly stolen items out of a truck.

Dodge made contact with the male caller, who said the vehicle belonged to a friend who had recently died. The truck reportedly contained the friend's belongings, and the caller was waiting for the friend's sister to pick up the property.

He told Dodge he had noticed several items missing from the truck and checked his security cameras and saw the suspect, later identified as Frank, enter the cab of the truck and look at items in the truck bed.

Investigator Matt Ellis responded to the scene and took the video recording into evidence and was reportedly able to identify Frank as the one involved and locate him at his residence.
