Sheriff's reserve unit lists November hours

Garland County Sheriff's Reserve Capt. Hank Nowak reports that reserve deputies worked a total of 528 hours in November, including 196 hours in the patrol division, responding to 26 calls, taking two reports and making two arrests.

At the monthly meeting, the group interviewed two potential candidates for membership, Nowak said, noting "they were agreed upon as viable members and personnel was instructed to continue their employment procedures."

The unit, which is comprised of unpaid volunteers, provides support to the sheriff's department's different divisions throughout the year.
