19th Taste of the Holidays most successful fundraiser to date

Mid-America Science Museum's 19th Annual Taste of the Holidays celebration was the most successful fundraiser to date in the 19 years since it has been hosted at the museum, with nearly 700 guests in attendance, according to a news release from the museum.

Present at the VIP Reception were award recipients state Sen. Bill Sample and state Rep. Les Warren, who were recognized for their contributions to STEM in the community.

Mid-America Science Museum Executive Director Diane LaFollette also presented this year's college scholarship award to Logan Way during the special VIP reception that featured Chef Casey Copeland from the Avenue paired with select wines from the Diamond Beverage Group.

This year's Taste of the Holidays was presented by Oaklawn Racing and Gaming, Tri-Lakes Liquor, and TLI Print.

Special thanks were given to National Park Medical Center, Sigma Supply and Weyerhaeuser for supporting local science education programming through Outreach Sponsorships and to supporting sponsors Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Citizens Bank, Dr. Justin and Kendra Walden, and 61 Celsius, the release said.

Host sponsors for this year's 19th Annual Taste of the Holidays included Simmons Bank, First Security Bank, Hot Springs Radiology Services, Hot Springs Title Company, Hurst Law Group, Ike Eisenhauer Insurance Agency, Regions Bank, Westrock Coffee and Zeiser Wealth Management.

Mid-America Science Museum is already planning for next year's 20th Annual Taste of the Holidays, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at the museum. Next year also marks Mid-America's 40-year anniversary celebration.
