Keep up the good word

Dear editor:

I really enjoy the letters in the paper from Lloyd Hoffman and Reflections from Craig Joyner. They obviously read the Scriptures continually, seeking to understand what God wants us to know and understand. I feel one of the most important messages is the fact if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide and help us through this hectic world.

In John 14:26, Jesus told his followers (and us), "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."

Wow -- how many Christians are using the HS to help combat the arrows Satan throws every day. How many even know they have that gift? One of my favorite Scriptures, John, Jesus tells his followers so many wonderful things, knowing He is about to leave them.
