On the Kahlo and Rivera art trail in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY -- With her unibrow, braided updo, colorful clothing and mustache, the late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo has become an idiosyncratic cult figure in the United States.

Kahlo has an equally passionate following in her native Mexico City. Her face is plastered on everything from handbags and jewelry to wall hangings and aprons. Her husband, the late muralist Diego Rivera, was better known during their lifetimes, but she's eclipsed him in fame since their deaths in the 1950s.

Fans can find their work all over Mexico City. Stops include the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as Casa Azul or the Blue House; the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo House and Studio Museum; Dolores Olmedo Museum; Diego Rivera Museo Anahuacalli; Diego Rivera Mural Museum; Fine Arts Palace and the National Palace.

George and Amal Clooney donate $500k to march against guns

NEW YORK -- Actor George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, are donating $500,000 to students organizing nationwide marches against gun violence, and they say they'll also attend next month's planned protests.

In a statement released Tuesday, the couple says they're inspired by the "courage and eloquence" of the survivors-turned-activists from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Seventeen people were killed at the school and others wounded when a former student went on a rampage with an assault rifle. Students are mobilizing a March 24 march in Washington and elsewhere to urge lawmakers to enact tougher gun control.
