Elks support veterans

Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380 held a dinner and raffle to benefit its Veterans' Fund, which supports, among other projects, the local Adopt-a-Vet program, which provides birthday and holiday remembrances from Elks, barge rides and picnic lunches for veterans at the Fort Roots VA hospital, prepaid telephone cards and personal items for homeless veterans and their families at the St. Francis Home. From left are lodge member Sharon Kelsay, Fred Kelsay, Veterans' Committee chairman, Adopt-a-Vet recipient Wayne Schultz, Beverly Schultz, Heather Turner, recipient Smokey Turner, recipient and Elk member George Jensen and Margie Jensen. The Elks donated magazines, books, puzzles, greeting cards and DVDs to St. Francis House.
