has guest speaker

Virginia Clinton Kelley Democratic Women meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at HSU/NPC Education Center, 201 Market St. Social time, with light refreshments, begins at 5:30 p.m. Janet McAdams will speak on the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project. McAdams is the former head of the Garland County Health Department and current chair of the local Imagination Library project and vice chair of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project. Caregivers support group

to begin Wednesday

Hospice of Central Arkansas will hold a caregivers support group from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave.

Caring for someone at the end of their life can be a blessing, privilege and an honor. Caregiving can be a gift that rewards both the caregiver and patient. These experiences can also be difficult at times. Caring for a loved one with an incurable illness brings responsibilities and stresses that may seem overwhelming at times. But the caregiver is not alone. Hospice of Central Arkansas is here to support caregivers, help them learn how to care for their loved one and to provide a place for them to share their concerns and needs with other experiencing a similar circumstance.

HSV Genealogical to meet Thursday

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Join the HSV Genealogical Society at 2 p.m. Thursday in Room 6 of the Coronado Center. Speaker Barbara Pinkney will present "Below the Stairs: Resources for Finding Ancestors Who Were Apprentices, Indentured Servants or Redemptioners."

A general meeting is on the first Thursday of each month, from September through May. A monthly breakfast meeting is held at 9 a.m. the third Thursday year-round at Debra's Restaurant on Carmona Road where topics of interest are informally shared. Call 501-915-8446 for details.

Computer Club of HSV

offers Windows Essentials

The Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will offer Windows Essentials Part 1 on Tuesday and Part 2 on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. in Room 5 of the Coronado Center where computers will be provided. This class is on the Windows 10 operating system. There is a cost of $20 for club members, $30 for nonmembers. Please register online at http://www.cchsv.org.

The club now has a special interest group for those interested in drones, whether a person currently has one or not. Please consult the website for details.

Emblem Bunco tourney

slated for March 28

Hot Springs Emblem Club 194 will host a Bunco tournament, "Bunco Babes Unite," at 11 a.m. March 28 at Elks Lodge 380, 132 Abbott Place. Soup and sandwiches will be served. There will be prizes for the winners.
