Mr. Elmer Beard has announced that the 20th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, in Horner Hall at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Keynote speaker will be Mrs. Carol Johnson, director of Arkansas Fair Housing Commission.
The theme for this year's event is "Removing Injustice From the Road to Justice." Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the program begins at 8:30 a.m.
You may contact Lavenia Hicks at 501-282-6120 or Elmer Beard at 501-624-6866 to purchase a ticket to attend the event. No ticket sales will be made after Jan. 6, 2018. Tickets are $30 per person or $310 for a table of 10. Checks should be made payable to Hot Springs Branch of the NAACP No. 6013 and mailed to P.O. Box 1105, Hot Springs, AR 71902. No tickets will be sold at the door.
