HSV Republicans hear from GOP state chairman
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Republican Membership Meeting hosted by HSV Republican Women and Republicans of HSV will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Ouachita Building at the Ponce De Leon Center, 1101 DeSota Blvd., with Doyle Webb, GOP state chairman, as the guest speaker. Webb will give an update on happenings in Arkansas and on state officials, and new candidates running in the 2018 Election.
Members and their guest are welcome. There will be a brunch of sandwiches, appetizers and desserts is served prior to the meeting.
Doyle was elected state GOP chairman in December 2008. He was a state senator and chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Win Rockefeller.
The programs at Republican meetings, which are held on the third Thursday of each month, September through May, will give new and current members an opportunity to get information on issues, meet the candidates and become educated on who they may want to vote for. They are encouraged to join or renew their membership by Jan. 26. With the HSV clubs meeting jointly, spouses, men and candidates are welcome to join as associate members. Lupus support group hears from podiatrist
Lupus Foundation of Arkansas Inc., Hot Springs Support Group, will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the second floor boardroom at Levi Hospital, 300 Prospect Ave. Guest speaker will be Dr. Alex Dellinger with the Foot and Ankle Association.
