HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Debora Leth, of Hot Springs Village, became the winner of the 2018 KVRE July Fourth Picnic Give Away grand prize. Each year, area businesses join forces with KVRE 92.9fm with a summer package chocked full of "incredible items," just in time for Independence Day.
Prize content included a Broil King Monarch 320 Grill from Congo Fireplace and Patio; Klipsch Heritage Wireless Speaker compliments of Solutions Home Entertainment; dinner for six to eight people from Cypress Bayou Specialty Meats; dessert certificate from Sweet Cheeks Bakery; gift certificate from Casa Verde Garden and Landscaping Center, and a Yeti Cooler, compliments of Anheiser-Bush, Hot Springs Budweiser Distributor. Additionally, Barkansas Pet Supply, McClendon's Appliance, Mosquito Joe and Freewalt Builders supported the package.
Beginning June 18, listeners were prompted to call in and register during "Mornings with Tracy" and the "Scotty and Polly Show." Nearly 175 registrations were gathered when on June 28, Scotty and Polly pulled Leth's name from the basket. "We love giving things away and our advertisers make this summer promotion so very fun," said Polly Nichols, station co-owner and co-host of "The Scotty and Polly Show," in the press release.
"Fantastic!' exclaimed Leth. "I never win anything. Such a great prize and the grill will look great next to our Congo patio furniture. I just love KVRE."
