A Hot Springs man arrested Saturday after a nearly two-hour rooftop standoff with city police was being sought on felony and misdemeanor warrants stemming from an alleged home invasion last month and assault of his ex-girlfriend.

Landon Kyle Davis, 20, who lists an Emory Street address, was taken into custody shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the roof of the LifeNet Emergency Medical Services building at 220 Ouachita Ave. and charged with felony counts of aggravated residential burglary, punishable by up to life in prison, and first-degree terroristic threatening, punishable by up to six years, and a misdemeanor count of third-degree domestic battery, punishable by up to one year in jail.

Davis was being held on bonds totaling $65,000 and appeared Monday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a local woman told police that on June 17, around 4 p.m., she arrived home at her residence in the 100 block of Hickory Street and found her ex-boyfriend, identified as Davis, who is also the father of her 1-year-old daughter, inside her apartment taking a shower.

She noted Davis knows he is not supposed to be inside her apartment so she asked him to leave and they got into an argument. She said Davis grabbed her by the throat and she slapped him on the side of the head, causing him to let go.

She alleges he then head-butted her on the nose twice, threw her on the bed and held her down by her arms, causing bruising to both arms. She said he eventually let her up and she grabbed her daughter who was present for the entire incident and left her apartment.

The next day, around 3:30 p.m., the woman said she returned home and had her apartment manager check to make sure Davis was not there before she went in. Shortly after the manager left, she said she heard her back window shut and Davis had entered her residence again through a window.

She said they got into an argument again and Davis told her if she called the police he would punch her in the mouth. He also allegedly said, "Watch your surroundings and watch your job because I am going to kill you. ... "

She said some neighbors intervened in the altercation and Davis eventually left. She called police who responded to the apartment and took a report. Warrants for Davis' arrest on the burglary, criminal mischief and battery charges were issued on July 9 and he was featured as the "Wednesday Warrant" by police on social media on July 11.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday, police responded again to the victim's residence on Hickory Street to a reported disturbance and spotted Davis at the scene. He fled from officers and was able to climb on top of the LifeNet building nearby, prompting the standoff with police as he threatened to jump off the edge to the parking lot below.

After almost two hours of negotiating with him, officers were able to rush him, tackle him to the roof and take him into custody without further incident.
