A former Hot Springs Village man arrested in March in Little Rock for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl left in his care was arrested Tuesday on another rape charge based on allegations he molested the same victim at his previous home in the Village.

Donald Glynn Caple, 67, was charged with rape, a felony punishable by up to life in prison, and he was later released on $100,000 bond. He is set for an arraignment hearing in Garland County Circuit Court on July 3.

Prosecutors filed a motion Tuesday for a gag order limiting pretrial publicity in the case.

Caple was arrested March 20 on the rape charge in Little Rock and was released on $50,000 bond on March 30. He is set to stand trial on the charge in Pulaski County Circuit Court on Nov. 14.

According to the probable cause affidavit on Tuesday's arrest, on March 1, Little Rock police were contacted by the mother of an 11-year-old girl alleging that her daughter had been sexually assaulted. During the course of their investigation, Little Rock detectives reportedly discovered the sexual assaults had also occurred at Caple's former residence in Hot Springs Village.

Little Rock police contacted Hot Springs Village Police Detective Brad Whiley and provided him with the case file, including audio and video interviews with the alleged victim.

The victim reportedly stated she was molested by a known suspect, identified as Caple, while inside Hot Springs Village. She said Caple would play "cartoon porn" and adult porn on his laptop while they were together. She said he touched her privates and had her touch his privates.

The incidents reportedly began when she was 4 years old and continued until she was 8 years old. She said over a period of time, Caple began to advance the sexual acts and eventually raped her.

The victim said the sexual abuse occurred every time she and Caple were alone together at his residence. Caple later sold his residence in Hot Springs Village and moved to Little Rock.

Caple was interviewed by police and allegedly admitted to committing the acts the victim described. He reportedly stated he did not rape the victim because he never forced her to participate in the acts. He said she always consented to participating and that he committed the acts "because he wanted to connect emotionally" with her.

According to The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette regarding the Little Rock charge, on March 1, the victim's mother told police her daughter had spoken to a school counselor about a man who had raped her.

The victim said Caple has had sexual contact with her since she was in the first grade, and had been doing so "every time he comes over to baby-sit her and her brother." The girl told investigators Caple became angry when she told him to stop touching her, the report said.

The child's mother also contacted Arkansas Children's Hospital and the Arkansas State Police regarding her daughter's reported rape.
