An unidentified Entergy Arkansas Inc. employee assesses the scene where a Nissan Altima collided with a utility pole in the 900 block of Highway 128 at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, knocking out power to about 230 customers. According to Arkansas State Police Trooper Zach Whitney, a witness said the male driver of the Altima was northbound when he lost control, left the road to the right, and hit an embankment that caused the car to go airborne and crash nose-first into the pole, snapping it in two. The driver was injured and transported by LifeNet to an area hospital. It was the second outage in two days resulting from a collision.
