An unidentified body was found in the floodwaters of Fourche A Loupe Creek in the 7100 block of Central Avenue Thursday morning in Hot Spring County, prompting a response from emergency agencies in two counties.

Martin Wells, a nearby resident, told The Sentinel-Record he was down by the creek checking the water level around noon Thursday when he saw what he thought was a dead animal but, as he got closer, he realized it was a human.

Wells went and got his neighbor, Allen Denton, who confirmed that it was a person and called 911.

Denton said the body was hung on a tree in the middle of the creek. Hot Spring County Sheriff's Department personel, Arkansas State Police investigators, Lake Hamilton Fire Department and the Hot Springs Fire Department's swift water team were all called to the scene.

"On 3/1/18, Hot Spring County Sheriff Office received call to Hwy. 7 North. Nature of call, body in flood waters of creek.
