Please help Greenwood

Dear editor:

My husband lived and worked his whole life in south Hot Springs. Our business is still on Albert Pike and he attended Greenwood school.

He expressed the desire to be buried in Greenwood Cemetery when he died. I honored his wishes almost five years ago. But to my dismay, the roads are so deplorable I can scarcely get to his grave site. When it rains, it is flooded in spots. On good days, the roads are so broken up you can hardly drive them.

This is a large cemetery in the heart of the city and I am sure others feel as I do. There are many prominent citizens plus veterans buried there.

I would be willing to pay a small assessment to help pave the road and feel sure others would do the same.

Please help.
