Doug Herbert, educator with the Mid-America Science Museum, gave a hands-on presentation at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of North Garland County/Scenic 7.

Inviting participation, Herbert entertained and educated the Rotarians on the wonders of science -- among them, the Bernoulli principle, vortices and Newton's laws of energy.

Memorial Day weekend, the museum will celebrate the opening of Dino Trek, a new permanent exhibit was possible by a grant from the Oaklawn Foundation.

Applications are now being taken for weeklong summer camps at the museum for children 6-12, and Herbert encouraged the Rotarians to participate in monthly Science Society events for adults only.

Scenic 7 Rotary Club meets at Charlie's Pizza Pub at noon Thursdays. Visitors are welcome. For more information, call Barb Mitchell, 922-9004, or Amanda Kenned, 922-0227.
