The National Society Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims awarded its Arkansas State Scholarship to Grace Ann Turner, daughter of Chuck and Leah Turner. The Arkansas Virtual Academy senior has been accepted to Hendrix College in Conway. The essay topic was "William Bradford -- His Life and Legacy." Membership in NSSDP is limited to men and women who can prove direct lineage from a Pilgrim, any immigrant who settled before 1700 within the territory which became the 48 contiguous states of the United States of America without regard to religion of place or origin.
