Law enforcement agencies are searching for a vehicle that reportedly struck a bicycle from the rear Wednesday night in the 3300 block of Highway 70 west, killing a 52-year-old man.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary, Brett J. McCullough, of Hot Springs, was eastbound on Highway 70 in the outside traffic lane when an unknown vehicle struck the rear of his bicycle, then fled the scene after impact, at around 8:47 p.m. Wednesday.
McCullough was pronounced dead by Deputy Garland County Coroner Jayson Neighbors at 9:38 p.m.
The report does not state whether there were any witnesses to the collision.
