Dear editor:
On behalf of the Garland County Reads Organizing Committee, we would like to recognize and sincerely thank our wonderful sponsors who provided food and entertainment for our recent family event at the Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market.
We also want to thank the many volunteer organizations and businesses that donated their time and effort to make the event a special time for the families. Many thanks, too, for all the community readers who took their time to share with the children who were present. And a very big thank you to Kelly Jones, who created a video of her book to kick off the event at each school.
Our committee believes reading is such an important life skill that our goal is to encourage families to spend quality time reading together. Thank you for helping us promote that endeavor.
